With the glorious summer that we have been having it has been great being able to have barbeques and Summer Parties. We have given some Summer Party Ideas including wearing Sunglasses and Hats and putting up Decorations such as Cutouts and Dangling Suns. Shot Glasses and Inflatatables add that extra touch of fun. Today we are looking forward to our office Christmas lunch this week. With Christmas now so near this is a busy week for Christmas Work Do's. We have been talking about the traditional work party with a few drinks, good food, Santa Hats and Christmas Crackers. We would love to know if you have had your Christmas work party and how it went.

I really enjoyed seeing The Great Gatsby last night. I enjoy the 1920s Age seeing the women in Flapper Dresses and men in Trousers with Braces and the Costume Accessories of Cigarette Holders, Wigs, Feather Headdresses and Boas. Leonardo Dicaprio was the perfect Jay Gatsby and the story was portrayed well. We would love to know if you have seen the film and what you thought.

Thanksgiving takes place on 28th November and is a National Holiday in America. Families celebrate with a special meal often using Disposable Tableware. Loads of Stars & Stripes Decorations as well as American Flags and Bunting are put up. . This annual tradition has been taking place since 1863 and is an important day in the American calendar. We would love to know if you have celebrated Thanksgiving in America.

Italy Independence Day is April 25^th and is a National Holiday in Italy. We have been looking at ways to celebrate this day and using Italian Decorations shows support. Waving or putting up an Italian Flag is always a popular choice as is a Hand Waving Flag and Italian Flag Mask. We would love to know how you will be celebrating Italy Independence Day and whether there will be pizza and pasta included.

With Harrods showing their Jubilee Royal Windows which are for the moment red and gold framing 31 crowns, I have been thinking about how I am going to be Decorating my house. I won't be replacing my windows but i will be hanging Union Jack Flags from them and putting up Union Jack Bunting. A Life Size Cardboard Cutout of the Queen will also make an appearance as well as loads of Red, White and Blue Balloons. We would love to know how you are planning to decorate your house for the soon approaching Jubilee.

With the start of Oktoberfest this weekend we have been looking at some of the history of how Oktoberfest began and how it is celebrated now. This German Beer Festival takes place in Munich and Bavaria as well as other parts of the world, where typical German Costume is worn and tents and venues have German Themed Decorations such as Flags, Balloons and Bunting. Please let us know how you are celebrating Oktoberfest this year.

Cats and Dogs in Fancy Dress has been our interest in the office today after reading about Battersea Cats and Dogs Home holding their annual reunion where a Fancy Dress Contest was part of the procedings. We would love it if you would share your funny Dogs and Cats stories with us and even some funny photos of your pets in Fancy Dress Costumes.

Wear A Hat Day is on Friday 27^th March and this day is to raise awareness for Brain Tumour Research as well as to raise money. We have been looking at different types of Novelty Hats to give you ideas that are fun and cool. Whether you choose a Bowler Hat, a Funky or Themed Hat or a trendy Beanie Hat you will enjoy raising awareness for this cause. We would love to know which hat you will be wearing.

It will be soon be Guy Fawkes Night. On 5th November there will be public firework displays and many parties at home. We have been looking at some of the history of Guy Fawkes and the fun now surrounding the event. There are different Firework Party Packs and Glow In The Dark and Flashing LED items which always add to the atmosphere. We would love to know how you are spending Guy Fawkes Night this year.
