TERMS & CONDITIONS
1:All prices on the web site are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
Any transactions are between the customer and 'Novelties (Parties) Direct Ltd.
2:We will try to maintain the prices in our catalogue and our website but have the right to revise prices at any time without notice but this does not effect any orders already placed and where a price has been agreed on
3:All deliveries dates are given in good faith and all efforts will be made to deliver at the time stated. Our company cannot be held liable to the customer for any consequences whether direct or indirect of failing to deliver goods<.p>4: No claims against the company arising from allegedly damaged goods, faulty goods or shortages will be entertained unless we have it in writing as soon as possible
5:Customers who have opened an account with us by prior arrangement will be strictly 30 days from the date appearing on the company invoice. If the invoice is not paid for in full on the due date the customer shall be obliged to pay interest thereon at 4% over the base lending rate of HSBC from due date until date of payment. Goods will remain the property Of “Novelties (Parties) Direct Ltd” until paid for in full.
6: Sometimes the product specifications from the manufacturer may change, in which case we will do our best to offer you a substitute of the same or better quality at the same price. All sizes and measurements are approximate but we do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible. On the rare occasion that there is an error, we will advise you.
7: Damaged in Transit
Should there be any damage to the delivered goods, details must be noted on the delivery documentation and it will be your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible. It is imperative that you do not dispose of any of the packaging, as this will be required to affect your claim against the carrier. We will make a claim against the carrier and arrange for the damaged goods to be collected and replacements to be sent to you.
All the personal information including name, address and credit card details you enter on the Novelties Direct site is held securely on our back office servers. We utilize a certified SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection. This means that there is a high level of encryption (128bit) involved (encryption is a method of scrambling data so that only the two computers involved can read the data). The certificate used on our site is assigned to us by a third party company – Thawte.
You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to 7 days after you receive the goods
(see below). Please note that this policy has some limitations and does not apply to business customers. To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to Novelties Direct by e-mail, post or contact us section of our website, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Please note that bespoke orders which have been confirmed with a PO Number or verbal aggreement which have already been put in to print cannot been cancelled.
Except in the case of faulty or misdescribed goods, if you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to the Novelties Direct at your own cost. The goods must be returned to Novelties Ditect Ltd, Unit 7 Sandown Industrial Estate, Sandown Road, Watford, WD24 7UB. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit.
Once we have received the goods back, we will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. Please note that once we have processed your credit it can take up to 5 working days for this to appear on your statement.
- If anything you receive from us is faulty or damaged we will replace it free of charge or fully refund the cost, reimbursing the postage if we have requested its return. In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with anything, you can still return it in unused condition within 14 days for a full refund, although in this case return postage costs are not normally reimbursed. In both cases, before returning anything please contact our customer services department.
- If we make any mistake to do with your purchase we will correct the error within 30 days.
- This undertaking is in addition to your statutory rights.
