Synopsis:

Today we had to talk about Friday nights fantastic Opening Ceremony and how it got the 2012 Olympics off to a great start. The Athletes were very proud to be representing their countries with their National Flags and the evening involved history and humour. We would love to know what your highlights were and if you embraced the evening with Olympic Decorations and Accessories.

The Opening Ceremony on Friday night was a fantastic way to start the 2012 Olympics and two weeks of Sport. I thought that the Opening Ceremony was an outsatnding event. As well as a spectacular trip through British History there was also some humour where we saw what appeared to be The Queen with our very own James Bond parachuting into the Ceremony. It was a great feeling seeing how proud the Athletes were walking out representing their Country and David Beckham was of course looking super cool as he brought the Olympic Torch on its final journey. As the Olympic Games kick off, well done to Lizzie Armitstead for achieving Silver and Rebecca Adlington for achieving Bronze.

Were you glued to the Opening Ceremony? What were your highlights?
