Synopsis:
World Book Day on 7th March has always been a favourite day in my house. As well as loving Books my children loved Dressing Up as their favourite Book Characters such as Oliver, The Little Mermaid and Robin Hood and then getting their book vouchers to spend. Storytelling wokshops at the library is also a great way to enjoy books. We would love to know if your children are wearing Fancy Dress Costumes at school.
World Book Day on 7th March is a day that I really support. I am an avid reader and anything that encourages children to read for pleasure is a good thing. Book vouchers are given out in schools and often also free books. World Book Day is recognised and marked in schools and libraries with storytelling workshops and children ahve the opportunity to Dress Up as their favourite Book Characters. These often include Fireman Sam , Robin Hood, and Where's Wally. My children used to love dressing up as the much loved characters from the Dickens Classic Oliver and The Little Mermaid
Do your children get to dress up at school on this day? What are their favourite books?
