The 100th Royal Variety Show was fimed last night in front of The Queen and The Duke Of Edinburgh. It was held at The Royal Albert Hall and will be aired on December 3rd. Many Stars were performing including Bruce Forsyth, Rod Stewart and Alan Carr as well as One Direction. Having Celebrity Masks and LIfesize Cardboard Cutouts makes watching these shows great fun. The first Royal Variety Show was in 1912 and The Queen was 21 when she attended her first show.

Australia Day is soon approaching and is on the 26th January. We have been looking at a bit of the history of Australia Day and how it is celebrated both in Australia with picnics, barbeques and firework displays and Overseas in pubs, bars and with black tie dinners. Today I am talking about how many schools are next week acknowledging Book Week by giving children the chance to browse through and buy books and many are able to Dress Up as their favourite Book Character such as Postman Pat, Robin Hood or Snow White. I think that this is such a great way to encourage a love of books and we would love to know if your children are Dressing Up and if you are a book worm, if you have any recommendations please share them with us.
