Custom Cutouts !!! Friends, Family, Business Parties.
Custom cutouts are printed in full colour using your digital image - they're fantastic for parties, for livening up your stand at a business expo, or for when you can't make that important event.

Get the image right. Get the image to us. We'll take payment. You get the cutout.
We pride ourselves on making it an easy and pleasant experience. We won't blind you with science - if anything below stumps you, just call us! We'd rather you asked than didn't call.
Do you own the image?
We can't do licensed images (so no James Bond, sorry) but as long as you took the picture, or own the image, it's fine. Chances are if you want us to do a cutout of your dad, it's OK!
Are you taking the picture?
Take it as close as possible to the person, but include everything from head to toe - arms, legs, feet. We can get our designers to paint in bits if they're stood behind a pot plant or you've chopped their feet off - but design work will cost extra. Poses with arms by the side or in front of the subject make the best cutouts.
Are you using a digital camera?
Make sure it's 5 Megapixel or higher. Check the box or the instructions if you're not sure. Set it on the highest quality you can.
Are you taking it using a normal camera?
No problem. The same applies - include every part of them, and take it as close up as possible without chopping bits of 'em off. Using a slow speed film, like 100, if you can. It makes it less grainy.
How big should the image file be?
Big. Very big. The bigger the better. Images you find on the internet generally won't do. The images on this page are all 72dpi (that's how many 'dots per inch' you can see). A good printing size is 400dpi for best quality. That's huge.
If all this is just jargon, don't worry - send us the image and we'll let you know whether it will look OK life size! We do have special tools to increase resolution of a picture, so it's always best to send it over and let us have a look. We won't start work (or charge you a penny) without getting your OK to go.
How big can the cutout be?
We can do extra large cutouts (over six foot two or two foot wide) at extra cost.
Does it have to be a photo?
Nope - artwork, silhouettes, whatever you want.
But I want seven octopusses dancing the tango!
OK, send us the image and we'll see what we can do - octopi may be extra!
Can I email it?
Chances are it will be too big.
Not only will it be a big picture (i.e. fill up your whole computer monitor and then some) but the size of the FILE will be large. If it's under 1MB chances are it will look very bad lifesize.
This means either using our FTP (call us for details) or, if that's too much hassle, using www.yousendit.com. It's free to use (you have to register) and it lets you put a file from your PC onto the internet. It's Free, Fast and Secure and you simply register, upload the file, then fill in the form on the site to send it to sales@novelties-direct.co.uk
Can I send you a photo?
By all means send us a copy - but we can't return images physically sent us - we get far too many, sorry. Please don't send your only remaining photo of your loved one - imagine how upset you'd be if it got lost in the post. Make sure you have another copy if it's rare. If it's very precious, you can always scan it in yourself if you have a scanner.
Cutouts are £120.00 + VAT each plus delivery.
Bear in mind that your mate is more expensive than Elvis because although we pay a license for Elvis, he's printed in his thousands! We'll only ever sell one or two of your mates. Unless he's James Bond, that is.
We'll take your card details over the phone, or you can send us a cheque (be aware that we will won't ship until the cheque has cleared).
We can send it to any UK address. Call to discuss European shipping, this is a possibility. We strongly recommend having it sent to a work address or somewhere where you know someone will be in.
Most custom cutouts are shipped within 10 working days of recieving the image, but call for an estimate.
The cutouts come folded, with a pop-out easel that makes it free-standing. Oh, and they look great!
